Advertising & Sponsorship

How sponsorship and underwriting work, and where the firewall sits.

What sponsors can fund

Sponsors, underwriters, and institutional partners may support programs such as the Challenge, curriculum, specific worlds of coverage, or Today in Public Health Studios productions. When such support exists, it will be clearly disclosed.

What sponsors cannot do

Sponsorship never buys editorial coverage. Sponsors cannot commission, assign, edit, preview, approve, or kill a story, and cannot influence how any topic — including their own industry — is reported. This is the editorial and commercial firewall, and it is non-negotiable.

Sponsored & branded content

Any sponsored, branded, or underwritten content will be labeled unambiguously and kept visually and structurally distinct from independent editorial work. We do not disguise advertising as reporting.

Studios & commissioned films

Today in Public Health Studios may produce commissioned or underwritten films for public-health organizations. These engagements are disclosed and are governed by the same firewall: a funder of a film cannot dictate independent editorial coverage elsewhere on the platform.

Status

We are not currently running paid advertising. This policy defines how sponsorship will work as the platform grows, so the standard is set before any money changes hands.
